Merge by Oregon Manifest Integrates Tools into Its Frame

While cities endeavor to encourage its citizens to ride bicycles more, shareable systems and better lanes don't address all of the reasons why people would rather drive their cars or take public transit; enter the ultimate urban bicycle. Dubbed Merge, it boasts a frame that integrate some crucial daily tools that include a two-wheeled Swiss army knife cargo, lighting and security that is all available at a moment's notice. Of course, it also incorporates a USB port hooked up to a generator on the front wheel to charge small devices when needed.

The ultimate urban bicycle was designed by Brooklyn-based industrial designer Pensa and custom bike-builder Horse Cycles for the 2014 edition of The Bike Design Project, which encourages the teams to problem solve for riding issues specific to their home cities
